When this journey began back in March of this year I could not have imagined where the road would lead. Most days I still experience the same sense of: what may come next? Life is like that isn’t it! So, here I am still asking many of the same questions.

But, there is something different now. The difference being that I/we have new-found friendships and those that are walking this journey with us. Really, do any of us know what may come next? I think not. Again, life is like that. But, we walk together.

I have always said when asked what my father is like: well, he is complicated. I still believe that he is just that, complicated! His new challenges may further complicate him.

Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Janine. She always looked so contented and this was so marvelous for Bruce and I to see.

From being a little girl grooming had always been important to her and it was pleasant for us to see how nicely she had always been dressed by her caregivers and how gently, patiently and thoroughly they treated her during this busy time in the one of the many “busy times” in the course of their day.

Our gratitude extend to each and every one of your staff. Caregivers and all who contribute to the excellent running of Desert Hills.

All Janine’s family and friends join Bruce and me in thanking you and your staff for your devoted service and kindness to her, we shall never forget you.

My Father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, check into Desert Hills Memory Care Center on July 30, 2008.  The reception showed genuine concern and compassion and was far beyond my wildest expectations.  Ms. Hendricks and her entire staff were Angels in disguise.  I was very pleased with the cleanliness and beauty of the facility and the outside grounds.

My Aunt Veronica had vascular dementia. Veronica was an avid walker and her mind told her to keep moving long after she wasn’t able to safely do so.  She didn’t understand this.  The assisted living facility where she lived didn’t understand this. But Desert Hills Memory Care Center did understand this!
